Dr. David Jeremiah Issues Statement on the Passing of John MacArthur

SAN DIEGO, July 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Another giant of the faith has gone home to be with the Lord. My friend and fellow pastor John MacArthur, who dedicated his life to biblical exposition, is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior.

John exemplified dedication and tenacity throughout his 60+ years of ministry, including 56 years as pastor of Grace Community Church, 48 years in managing his Grace to You broadcast programming, and his years serving at The Master's University and The Master's Seminary. He lived a life of unwavering devotion to Christ, and his years of service in the ministry will undoubtedly leave a legacy.
